If it's gonna happen...

If somethings gonna happen to the kids it's gonna happen when Dad's gone so Mom has to deal with all the blood and whatnot. I was upstairs cleaning and Amarisa came up and all she said was MOM. I turned around and she had her hands up covered in blood and her mouth was covered in blood. After checking her hands to make sure nothing was broken I moved on to the mouth. Yeah you know that little piece of skin that attaches your lip to your gums (really I'm not sure that's it's job but that's what it seems to do) Did you know it bleeds ALOT when cut/ripped/torn??? Yeah it does. She'd fallen on the toy box and apparently hit her lip in the process. The upside, she says she can't talk because it hurts. HMMM considering I was up ALL NIGHT working on scrapbooks for a group on post I'm not too hurt by the quiet in the house! And she's loving getting popsicles!

Ok most people know I'm a HUGE Reba fan. Seriously love her! She had a show for a while that I find hilarious. On the show she often calls people a 'monkey butt' (typically her ex-husband and his mistress) Maybe it's the way she says it in her southern drawl I don't know but it cracks me up everytime. Chalking it up to being just Reba or southern slang until today. I shop drugstore.com and scanning through the sales I saw this....



There's actually a product on the market called LADY ANTI MONKEY BUTT! I'm not sure what's funnier the name of the product or the label!

Running Away!

Garrett came to me with his coat on and asked for help zipping it. I asked him where he was going. He said he's running away. I asked if I could go with him. He said yeah. I asked where we were going. He said the play room. Bummer I was hoping for somewhere fun!

I just love this girl. She knows oh so well, how to push my buttons, I think because she is so much like me! She has hit that age where we can really enjoy doing stuff together. Crafts and cooking and scrapbooking are our current favorites!

MY lightbulb moment

I love lightbulb moments where you can see the light come on when they "get" something. This morning I had my own lightbulb moment regarding parenting these little monsters. Yes I know they look so cute and innocent...

But the last few weeks they've been driving me crazy. At first I thought it was cabin fever. We ran a bunch of errands the last few days and still..little monsters. Last night however I had a break through. This man has saved me, and likely my children HA


I got a bunch of Jim Brickman music on itunes last night and wow what a difference! They still run around and play but the craziness level has dropped dramatically! The harmony is returning to our home and I love it!
